Directed by Kourosh Zarei and produced by Alireza Kouhfar, the piece is an Arabic language theater.

It is worthy of note that the actors of the play are Syrian. Also, the theater had previously been staged in the Syrian capital Damascus and the city of Aleppo.

The play narrates an account of Karbala captives who were captured and taken to Sham during the event of Karbala. The piece focuses on the events that are related to a Christian monk who lived in a church close to the city of Aleppo at the time that the Karbala massacre happened.

The 37th edition of the Fajr International Theater Festival is slated for February 11-23, 2019.

The very festival is annually held during the Fajr (or Fadjr) Decade which indicates the anniversary of the ten days from the return of Imam Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic, to Iran until the victory day of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
